MONTREAL – Zest will add two new programs to its menu this fall, “The pre-game of the foodies” and “BBQ in a box”, and already confirming the return of the “Shots of food, with Sébastien Benoît, for a sixth season.
The duo of chef Martin Juneau and coach, Patrick Marsolais is addressed primarily to the athletes in “The pre-game of the foodies”. As they used to do in life, the two friends meet for a bite to eat, take a drink and a chat and sport predictions before a game on television. The camera immiscera in their evenings, which they share with their friends the athletes or the sports lounge. Marsolais tell anecdotes, while Juneau will create each week, three dishes and a drink. A first season of 12 30-minute episodes, produced by N12 Productions and Quebecor’s Content, will be on tour starting on 19 July.
In regard to “BBQ in a box”, its concept, developed by Trio Orange and Quebecor’s Content, had been unveiled a few months ago under the title “3-2-1 BBQ”, which has been changed. Bob, the chief and master of the grill Steven Raichlen will team up for meet the pros of the barbecue, which will have to overcome various challenges. Bob the chef will travel to the people in person, while the involvement of Raichlen will be virtual. Participants will have at their disposal a box full of hardware – including Raichlen will explain the content on video, since the records will follow guidelines for social distancing – which they will need to use to accomplish their feats. The masters of the game will also share tips and advice at the option of the game. Those who wish to live the experience of the “BBQ in a box” can already register for the bbqenboite.ca.
