Several people were fined for assembling illegally in a Quebec City residence on Saturday evening, although they had been warned a few hours earlier.
“We had a first complaint under the public health law on Boulevard Sainte-Anne in the early evening on Saturday, where we warned people. Then, we received a second call to go to the same place a few hours later, ”explains Lieutenant Yannick Berrouard of the Service de police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ).

During this second intervention, there was a “total non-collaboration”. It was therefore at this time that the police requested a telewarrant before submitting three reports of offenses under the decree of Public Health.
Each individual will have to pay the tidy sum of $ 1,543 for this misconduct.
“When you intervene for the first time and they don’t understand … At some point, they’ll have to understand,” suggests the lieutenant.
