Annick Artaud, the boss

Co-Chair. She is the historic president of Escale à Sète. Annick Artaud, the multiple rowing champion (she rowed at the time for the Sète Rowing Club) was the patron of the association for several years. The one who is also the president of Cettarames manages with her club all the fuss for the volunteers during Stopover in Sète. Since this year, she has been supported at the head of the maritime traditions festival association by Raymond Dublanc.

Raymond Dublanc, the goalkeeper

Co-chair. He's been there from the start. In the shadows. It was he who validated and still validates the arrival of large units based on their respect for a certain maritime heritage. Raymond Dublanc, working sailboat skipper and marine carpenter, has just become co-president of the association. With Annick Artaud, they are the guardians of the spirit of the festival: rigor on the heritage quality of the boats, but also conviviality and freeness."Seeing the children's eyes shine, it pays you for all your efforts", they say in unison.

Nicole Gendre, the deposit

Secretary of the association and legal manager. Involved since the very first editions, Nicole is in charge of the smooth running of the event. "With my colleague administrator Jean-Christophe Rojas, alongside our institutional and technical partners, we ensure to welcome the public in the best conditions of access and security and to preserve Stopover in Sète for all forms of drift."

Michèle Anton, l’friend

Treasurer. She has been present since the 2012 season. Committed from the start, Michèle is the treasurer of the association. "It’it’s out of friendship that I joined Escale at the request of Wolfgang Idiri. We started with friends, it's a family spirit on Escale", confides this Sétoise who discovered the world of maritime traditions thanks to the festival. If at the very beginning she was responsible for all the accounting for the festival, today she keeps a supervisory role and participates in the preparation. "I still participate but as a little hand, I take a look when asked, I do some checks…"

Jeff Tudesq, Mr. Puzzle

Organization of boats. His big game is playing a puzzle with the boats. Jeff Tudesq has the mission of arranging the boats along the quays according to their sizes and the activities offered on the quays. As some of the sailboats move during the festival of maritime traditions, he must somehow manage two occupation plans. While crossing your fingers that there won't be a last minute cancellation or unexpected arrival.

Patrick De Mori, faithful to the post

Accompanying the musicians. Faithful to the position since the first edition of Escale à Sète, he defines himself as a fish pilot for the dozens of music groups who perform on the stages and in the streets of Sète throughout the duration of the festival.

"What's new this year is that there are scenes on the boats", confides this professional DJ who takes care of guiding the groups, responding to their slightest needs but also distributing volunteers (around sixty in total) among them. "Since the beginning, bonds of friendship have been formed between the volunteers and the musicians, it’s really great and very interesting."

The smile of Maryse Sabatier-Ostalrich

Home accommodation. "I have been involved in this beautiful human adventure from the start. I participate in welcoming our many guests, particularly for their accommodation. My role is both administrative and relational, both towards the hosts and the delegations we accompany throughout the festival."

Djibril and Laurène Diop in unison

Coordination of the Music Department. From the jousts to Escale in Sète, there is only one step. "I met Wolfgang Idiri the director of our jousting company. I am a fan of maritime traditions, I also like to get involved in local festivals and feel useful", says Djibril Diop who joined the dance of the volunteers of ;rsquo;Stopover at the last festival.

This year, he also recruited his wife Laurène. They are both representatives of the music department responsible for coordinating reception and logistics for the fifty musical groups from around the world who perform at the festival. Including a German choir of around a hundred singers!
