Stopover in Sète 2024: exhibition and conference on Belem on the occasion of the festival of maritime traditions

Various works can be found at the Musée de la Mer.

An exhibition is on offer at the Musée de la Mer, in Sète, until April 10.

Since this week and until April 10, the Official Painters of the Navy (POM) are paying tribute to the Belem, the flagship boat expected for Stopover in Sète (March 26 – April 1). An exhibition is on offer at the Musée de la Mer, in Sète, 1 rue Jean-Vilar. A conference, hosted by the screenwriter and writer Didier Decoin, also a member of the Académie Goncourt, will be dedicated to Belem, on March 22 at 10:30 a.m.

The Official Painters of the Navy (POM) constitute one of the oldest artistic bodies, whose origins date back to the 17th century. The artists are painters as well as sculptors, illustrators, photographers and engravers. They are very diverse personalities and temperaments linked by a common passion for the sea. They devote their talent to the study of the sea, the Navy and seafarers.
