Stopover in Sète, from March 26 to April 1! During the festival, children will have fun. The organizers have put together lots of activities for them. Discover the program for little kids.

Model: under sail, from one bank to the other

The youngest can also hoist the sails, thanks to the pool installed at the heart of the event. On the water, model sailboats are available to toddlers and their parents who are generally not the last to have fun. We adjust the mainsail and the rudder, and the wind does the rest. Direction the other bank… from the pool!

Mini-jousters in action

No festival in Sète without a few spear shots. On Escale, it is the youngest who has the honor of crossing swords and carrying the bulwarks for a chariot jousting tournament. A "challenge of the sailors" where courage and commitment will have nothing to envy of the greatest. The parade will leave from the Quai d'Algiers on Wednesday 27, at 9:30 a.m., to the Capitainerie stage where the tournament takes place. Prizes awarded immediately.

Turn little sailboats!

Sail around the world in less than three minutes thanks to the efforts… parents! This is the promise of the Gazelles Carousel, always very popular with young visitors.

The principle ? Four magnificent little wooden sailboats inspired by the traditional rowboats emblematic of Les Sables d’Olonne, on which you can board from the age of two. All that remains is to turn your arms for the magic to happen.

Borgnefesse is looking for his pirates

There's more than just Belem in life! The Ascalie, an incredible but authentic pirate ship, stops in Sète for the occasion.

On board, Captain Borgnefesse comes to recruit his sailors. Tempted by adventure ? To be hired, you will have to take on all the challenges, from the zip line to the sea knot tests. A complete and educational universe to discover at the end of the Algiers quay, in the heart of the village of traditions. And for the youngest, the pirate lover awaits you under the marquee for activities based on tales.

A thousand workshops

The festival is full of knowledge brokers. In total, 1,000 free workshops – the majority of which are aimed at children – will be accessible in the different villages. Seamanship, cultural and scientific mediation, maneuvers, history…

Those who are more hands-on have every interest in taking a tour of the Croatian delegation, in the Mediterranean heritage village. The sailors of the Adriatic brought in their luggage enough to run miniature boat building workshops, for all ages.

L‘crovoile, gain height

Who has never dreamed of acting as lookout at the top of the mast? No more need to go to sea with the treetop sail, a structure that places the boat at the top of the mast. maritime climbing accessible to everyone, from 5 years old. Its inventor, Gilles Frénée, was inspired by the training structures that formerly existed in arsenals to set up this attraction, around ten meters high. Adrenaline guaranteed!
