Stopover in Sète 2024: the festival presented within the walls of the National Maritime Museum in Toulon

L'équipe d'Escale à Sète a tenu une conférence de presse mardi 5 mars dans les murs du Musée national de la marine à Toulon.
For the second time, the National Maritime Museum, in Toulon, as cultural sponsor, hosted, Tuesday March 5, the Provençal press conference for the imminent next edition of Escale in Sète which will take place from March 26 to April 1. The new director of the museum, Elsa Lewuillon, recalled the historical and strengthened links with the biennial: beyond its sponsorship of the villages and the cultural program, the National Maritime Museum will notably be present all week within of a maritime container and will host for the first time in Sète the annual meeting of French maritime museums, with international guests, including the Barcelona Maritime Museum.
Strategic support of the French Navy
The maritime prefect of the Mediterranean, Vice-Admiral Gilles Boidevezi, once again demonstrated his attachment to the common values between the festival and the French Navy. "What makes Escale à Sète special is seeing an event that brings together nearly 500,000 visitors supported by 400 volunteers. It’s unique, fantastic, and it deserves to be highlighted!". The National Navy and the Mediterranean Maritime Prefecture affirm more than ever their strategic support for this new edition with prestigious guests in their village, quay of Algiers: unprecedented stopover of the school schooner < em>Belle-Poule, the minehunter Capricorne, presence during the entire festival, the Bagad by Lann Bihoué and official painters of the navy…
