A strike notice was filed by Sud-Rail for February 15 to 19. A cross-country weekend for holidaymakers which falls in the middle of the school holidays for the academies of Montpellier and Toulouse.
The February school holidays risk getting complicated at the stations: SNCF controllers are threatening to strike to demand salary increases and better consideration of their end of career , reveals Le Monde this Friday, February 2.
The notice filed, many academies concerned
The national collective ASCT convinced the Sud-Rail union to file a strike notice which runs from Thursday February 15 at 8 p.m. and until Monday February 19 at 8 hours.
After the Christmas strike in 2022 which forced the SNCF to cancel numerous TGVs and left some 200,000 travelers in the lurch, this mobilization is still likely to disrupt holiday departures for academies of Besançon, Dijon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Grenoble, Lyon, Limoges and Poitiers.
The weekend of February 17-18 is also in the middle of the school holidays of the academies of Ile-de-France as well as Montpellier and Toulouse.
Premium revaluation
The controllers believe that certain measures promised during the resolution of the conflict at the end of 2022 are slow to materialize, such as the mandatory presence of two controllers per TGV.
They also demand an increase in their work bonus to the tune of 500 euros more per month and finally demand recognition of the arduousness of the profession with the renegotiation of the agreement on the gradual cessation of activity, which makes it possible to manage the end of one's career, specifies Fabien Villedieu of Sud-Rail.
