On the rails

On the same day, the CGT and Sud Rail also filed a strike notice that could cause traffic difficulties or delays on certain trains. The strike will begin on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 7 p.m. and will end on Wednesday, October 2 at 8 a.m., Actu specifies in particular. Traffic forecasts will be known 48 hours in advance, as usual.

What disruptions ?

Several subjects are on the table for the representatives of the railway staff, who denounce, in addition to the new government, reforms such as the liquidation of Fret SNCF or the creation of TER subsidiaries. Other demands are mentioned: retirement, salary increases…

In a press release, the SNCF indicated that traffic would be almost normal on Tuesday October 1st. “It will be normal on TGV connections. Some traffic could be slightly disrupted on certain regional trains (TER, Transilien) as well as certain Intercités connections”, relays Actu.
