Stuck in trunk with ten dead animals: Man stuck in back of van in dark with dead bodies

On September 25, 2024, a knacker found himself stuck in his van, surrounded by dead animals he had just collected in Belfort.

A distressing situation to say the least. This Wednesday afternoon, a man found himself stuck in the back of a van filled with dead animals, reports France bleu.

An hour in the dark

This knacker – person whose job it is to collect dead animals – found himself stuck for an hour in the back of his work vehicle.

According to our colleagues, during his misadventure, the man suffered the macabre company of about ten animal corpses.

He found himself in this situation because of the back door. While he was bringing back remains from a veterinary clinic in Belfort, it closed behind him while he was loading the animal bodies.

Broken Handle

While he managed to call the vet who was waiting for him in the clinic, the latter was unable to get him out of the van because the handle was broken.

Finally, the two men had to call the firefighters so they could get the knacker out of there. The emergency services used an electric spreader to open the door, freeing the victim from his macabre confinement.
