Surprise drop in the unemployment rate in may in the United States
Washington | unemployment rate in the U.s. fell in may despite the pandemic, beating all forecasts, falling to 13.3%, according to data released Friday by the department of Labor.
In addition, 2.5 million jobs were created last month. Analysts were expecting a rate of unemployment, close to 20%, while many businesses were still closed due to the containment.
