Shepeleva’s readiness to make a deal with the investigation told his lawyer Andriy Tsygankov. He has prepared a petition to the Desnyanskiy district court of Kiev. “Confirm the desire Shepeleva A. A. to address the court with an urgent request to provide the ability to communicate with prosecutors… and implement the transaction in accordance with the applicable code of criminal procedure, after discussing the type and measure of punishment in case of signing of such agreement“, — stated in the application, which leads to TSN.

We will remind, the former MP was detained by the SBU on 8 February. He is suspected of committing a crime under part 1 article 111 UK of Ukraine (“high treason”). On 10 February the Pechersky regional court Shepelev was elected a measure of restraint in form of detention.

Shepelev was detained on suspicion of serious crimes, but in the summer of 2014, he escaped from the emergency hospital in Kyiv together with the guard. Ukraine declared Shepelev is on the international wanted list. In March 2015, the ex-Deputy was found in Russia.
