MONTREAL – Nearly a hundred residents of the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce, Montréal, had to be evacuated Sunday due to the discovery of a “suspicious object” near the railway of the Canadian Pacific railway.
The presence of the object in question has been reported to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) at 15: 10. It was near the railway, at the height of the intersection of boulevard de Maisonneuve and the Grand Boulevard.
Between 80 and 90 people were evacuated “for precaution”, said the POLICE.
At 20 h, the stage had been lifted, and residents were in the process of return to their homes.
The artificers of the Montreal police are left with the object to attempt to identify it. Subsequently, the police confirmed that there was no hazardous material inside.
In this case, the SPVM has worked in collaboration with the Canadian Pacific police.
