Sylvie Tellier, Miss France 2002, is in a signing session at the Plume d'or bookstore in Saint-Chély-d'Apcher (Lozère), this Thursday, August 22, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., on the occasion of the release of her book “Crown and Prejudice”.
You have probably seen her on television and/or already heard about this public figure: Sylvie Tellier, Miss France 2002. This Thursday, August 22, 2024 is the perfect opportunity to meet her in Lozère. She will be at the Plume d’or bookstore in Saint-Chély-d’Apcher from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a book signing session for her book Couronne et prévention.
What was your goal in publishing your book ?
I wanted to demonstrate the different prejudices that people have about women and Misses. I wanted to explain to young people that we should not put limits on ourselves, that we should not listen to the opinions of others and that we should not let ourselves be discouraged. This work is also a tribute to the women in my life including my mother, whom I thank, but also Geneviève de Fontenay.
You are currently in Lozère; what connection do you have with this department ?
My husband's family comes from Lozère, and more precisely from Saint-Chély-d’Apcher. We have come every year, for almost ten years, to spend a few days of vacation at the end of summer. With the release of my book, it was the opportunity to organize a signing session in this city, and in particular at the Plume d’or bookstore. I am the first to buy my books there. Lozère is part of my life.
What do you think of this department?
I like coming to this department. Today, I set out to complete one of the stages of the Way of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, the one which links Aumont-Aubrac to Nasbinals. It feels good to walk 28 kilometers, for six hours, with beautiful landscapes.
