In the aftermath of its release recognizing the systemic nature of racism and discrimination, the Service de police de la Ville de Montreal is to blame for lack of clarity.
In response, the League of rights and freedoms (LDL) believes that the SPVM plays with the words.
- Alexandra Stone, president of the League of rights and freedoms, on QUB Radio:
“He said to recognize the systemic nature of racism and discrimination, without ever admitting that they have being in their own ranks. How to be reassured about the following things if the SPVM still leaves glide such ambiguities? The League of rights and freedoms application to the chief of police of the SPVM to recognize explicitly and publicly that there is systemic racism and racial profiling is systemic within the police forces of Montreal and to commit to resolve the situation quickly, ” said Alexandra Stone, president of the League, in an interview Tuesday on TVA News.
