T.J. Watt in uncertainty

The health of Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt is a concern in Pittsburgh.

The star player was forced out of the game against the Bengals on Sunday of Cincinnati after injuring one of his pecs. The following day, ESPN network learned that Watt will soon be seeking the opinion of several doctors regarding his condition.

If it is determined that the 27-year-old athlete needs an intervention surgery, his 2023 campaign will be over. If he doesn't need to go under the knife, he could be back on the football fields in about six weeks.

Before he got hurt, the NFL's Most Outstanding Defensive Player in 2021 had six tackles, including three for losses. He also had an interception. He was unable to play the overtime that led to a 23-20 victory.

The Steelers will resume action on Sunday, when the New England Patriots are in move to Acrisure Stadium.
