Do you have dreams in your head without being able to make them a reality? So, we invite you to read the latest success of the hour, the first of the Greek lecturer Stefanos Xenakis, whose book has shattered sales records in his own country and which is becoming an international success. His message, turn off your TV, take action and enjoy each day as if it were the greatest gift. 

That's when the author n didn't renew his TV subscription when he moved into a new apartment in Athens with a sea view and parted with his remote control which he realized was all the free time he had ahead of him.  

The vast majority of people complain about being short on time, yet the average person spends four hours a day in front of their TV, if not on the internet. 

“It costs you your dreams, your plans, your inspiration, your whole life,” the author points out in his book. In 20 years that's 29,200 hours. 

If that sounds unrealistic, then consider reducing your screen time by just one hour per day, which is about nine weeks of work per year or two months as a gift to make your dreams come true. 

Instead of wasting your precious time looking at the lives of others, why not take care of building your own? 

Unfortunately, too often we seek ease, comfort, and finally the years go by without us having taken the time to realize our dreams. 

If the sofa is comfortable, it also kills slowly, insidiously, without realizing it. To change the course of things, you have to take action, get up, get to work to get what you want tomorrow. Virtually no one has succeeded without effort, regardless of the field. Thus, everyone is free of his fate, it rests in our hands. To act is to take care of yourself, because no one will do it for you.

Observing the beauty of the world

In Each day is a gift, the author also invites us to appreciate every little moment that life brings us and to relearn how to marvel at the beauty of the world. It is in this state of mind that we manage to reassess our choices and make the right decisions. Those who have come close to death no longer see life the same way afterwards. They appreciate every moment and all that everyday life can bring. When you are in this state of mind, you manage to do more and better.  

Learning to hypnosis

Hypnosis allows you to change our relationship to the world. Nothing less, says the author, Marc Traverson, who is a hypnotherapist. 

According to Traverson, it is the key to our transformation, because thanks to its energies we can notably free ourselves from invading emotions, or trauma from the past. Here, we are not in the fascination of Messmer, without wanting to take away his talent, the author rather evokes the main principles of hypnosis and those who initiated it, including the German doctor Franz Anton Mesmer, in the years 1700. Traverson also discusses other successful people in the field of hypnosis, including James Braid who, in the 1800s, concluded that hypnosis was all about looking. By fixing an object, we manage to stimulate the nervous system and plunge into nervous sleep. 

One thing is certain, we understand that hypnosis goes back a very long time and that by ignoring the fascination aspect, it allows to live in harmony and even to heal in the long term or to get rid of various harmful addictions such as cigarettes, drugs or alcohol. 

In short, a tool to discover all the virtues of magnetism and to perceive all the possibilities related to the modification of our consciousness. No pun intended, a fascinating book. 

Regain a taste for life

Many suffer from mental fatigue without necessarily knowing it. This is, at the very least, what the psychologist, Isabelle Méténier, who is also a yoga teacher, believes. 

Unlike physical fatigue, mental fatigue is the one that leaves us with an inner void. Routine and other tedious obligations sometimes make you no longer want to get out of bed in the morning. In her book, the author offers ideas for detecting mental fatigue and preventing it. Among the many keys offered, giving meaning to one's life is certainly the most important tool for overcoming mental fatigue. Finding what stimulates us, excites us and makes us smile will restore the taste for life.

For others, it will be the accumulation of irritants that will cause mental fatigue. For example, the incessant noise that surrounds us also ends up exhausting us, sometimes without us realizing it. If noises are inevitable, the author suggests finding a moment for yourself, every day, somewhere in silence to recharge your batteries. She also goes there for all the time lost on social networks, emails and various searches on the internet. If the instantaneousness of online conversations or purchases on the web stimulates us, we must also understand that concentration loses because we never stop. This way of doing sucks our energy and increases our mental fatigue, forgetting to develop social ties. Learning to disconnect, even for a few hours a day, would bring great benefits, in particular allowing you to live more in the present moment. Above all, try to be available to what is essential for you in line with your values, this is how you learn to eliminate the superfluous.
