Teacher shakes student in class: teacher in question suspended by rectorate

"Traces" on the neck
A history teacher allegedly grabbed a fifth-grade student by the throat and pinned him against a wall. A witness to the scene told our colleagues that the young victim had "marks" on her throat. For the moment, no context on the attack has been given.
The professor was absent on Thursday, but no link has been made to the case. He appears in the timetables for the week of September 16, but it is not known whether his classes will be held.
An investigation opened
The Reims Academy announced the "suspension of a teacher at the University College", a few minutes before noon, effective immediately.
Vincent Stanek, the rector, announced that "any form of threat or aggression, physical or verbal, towards staff, as well as towards students" will be "condemned with the greatest firmness".
In the press release, the rectorate explains that an "administrative investigation was immediately opened", to determine the facts and the measures to be taken. The rector requested the professor's suspension until the investigation is concluded, “which could result in sanctions depending on the facts”.
“Support” proposed
“On Tuesday, September 10, a student at the University of Reims college was allegedly”shaken by a teacher”, the rectorate said. A “personalized support system” has been set up, the rectorate specified, for students, families, and the teaching staff of the establishment.
