Arthur Cazaux benefits from Thanasi Kokkinakis' withdrawal to join the main draw of the Shanghai Masters 1000, this Sunday, September 29.

A first for Arthur Cazaux. The 22-year-old from Montpellier is joining the main draw of a Masters 1000, the level just below the prestigious Grand Slams. The baptism will take place in Shanghai, China. He benefits from Thanasi Kokkinakis' withdrawal.

Cazaux is coming off a disappointing Challenger tournament in Thailand, in Nonthaburi. He was knocked out in the quarter-finals against the 297th in the world, the Australian James McCabe (7-6, 4-6, 6-3). He is currently ranked 92nd in the world. The Montpellier native has struggled to confirm his form since his eighth-final at the Australian Open last January, even though he managed to get through the first round of Wimbledon and the US Open this summer.
