Canada's Katherine Sebov secured her ticket to the main draw at the Miami tournament on Monday.

To do so, she won her second match of the qualifications. She defeated Britain's Jodie Burrage in three sets 6-7(2), 7-5, 6-3. The clash lasted two hours and 29 minutes.

This is the very first time that the 24-year-old Torontonian has reached the main draw of a WTA 1000 caliber competition outside of Canada. In Miami, she joins compatriots Leylah Annie Fernandez, Bianca Andreescu and Rebecca Marino.

At this time, it is unknown who will face Sebov in the first round of the Florida event. However, there is a chance that she will measure up to Fernandez. The Quebecer is already guaranteed to have a player from the qualifications as an opponent in the first round.

For her part, Andreescu has an appointment with the Briton Emma Raducanu. Marino will face the Kazakh Yulia Putinseva.
