The shattered life of a young cycling hopeful

#BEZIERS. Anakïn Barrau, 17, was very seriously injured in an accident while  rsquo;he was cycling on December 22. The driver who hit him and fled is 19 years old. He was sentenced to two years in detention. Christophe Barrau, father Anakïn recounts the life of his son since the accident.

“He doesn't remember anything that happened to him. He was in very good health. Today he takes a lot of products to be more or less well. It has psychological and physical after-effects, but also, and it is more serious, neurological. When he was admitted to the emergency room, he was bleeding everywhere, including his brain. This is what worries us the most." Anakïn rode for BMC Béziers and was going to join the Elite group.

#AVEYRON/HERAULT. After three months of interruption due to bad weather which had caused major damage on the Béziers-Neussargues line, train traffic resumed yesterday between Bédarieux and Millau. The teams remain mobilized since certain finishing works, without impact on traffic, will have to continue at the beginning of January. According to information from Le Parisien, Tatiana B., 35, admitted to having fired a shotgun in the direction of Benjamin Arnauné, with whom she had shared her life for almost 17 years. The young woman then allegedly caused the house to burn, in order, she claims, to die with the corpse of the man she had loved so much. But, in a reflex of survival, would have finally left the scene.

On site, emergency services discovered the charred corpse of the young man, a former rugby player. According to her, the shot was fired accidentally in a context of imminent separation. Tatiana B. had to leave the house owned by Benjamin Arnauné during the day of Saturday, December 30. In the days that followed, he had to move into a house that he had just built and had started a relationship with another woman.

#METROPOLE DE MONTPELLIER.Since January 1, Crit’Air 4 cars can no longer circulate in eleven municipalities (Castelnau- le-Lez, Clapiers, Grabels, Jacou, Juvignac, Lattes, Le Crès, Montpellier, Pérols, Saint-Jean-de-Védas and Villeneuve-lès-Maguelone.) No fines and no checks will be carried out before August 2024. After this date, fixed fines of 68 € (for light vehicles) which can go up to 135 € (for heavy goods vehicles, buses and coaches) will be issued. Exceptions exist (small riders, mobility inclusion, exceptional convoys…) and exceptional routes will be put in place.
