A figure of the extreme right, Thaïs d'Escufon had joined Cyril Hanouna's team in the show On marche sur la tête on Europe 1. A controversial recruitment, which was ultimately followed by a very short stint, since she left the team after her first show.

What will Cyril Hanouna's return look like ? On the radio, it has already taken place for “Baba” (his nickname), who returned on August 26 to Europe 1 to host the daily program “On marche sur la tête” (4 p.m.-6 p.m.), tested during the legislative campaign, which already earned Europe 1 a formal notice in June for its “lack of moderation and honesty”, with the audiovisual policeman pointing out an over-representation of the extreme right.

“Don't worry, we have a lot of left-wing people around the table”, Cyril Hanouna said on Monday, August 26, to the independent authority, surrounded by columnists such as the former spokesperson for the Communist Party Olivier Dartigolles… and Thaïs d'Escufon, the former spokesperson for Génération Identitaire, an ultra-right movement dissolved in 2021.

Ousted after a broadcast

The latter's experience on Europe 1 only lasted one show, the influencer having confirmed to AFP on Friday her ouster from “On marche sur la tête”, announced by Puremedias.

Asked by AFP, Lagardère Radio assures that the decision was made by H20, Cyril Hanouna's production company. “We agreed after this first" that Thaïs d'Escufon “was not suited to the role of columnist”, a H20 executive also explained to Puremedias.

For her part, Thaïs d'Escufon regretted to AFP “that Europe 1 was able to give in to media pressure”, denouncing “woke propaganda”.
