The association of local residents of the 4 boulevards, which is contesting the current traffic plan between Boulevards Rabelais, d'Orient, Berthelot and Vieussens, has filed an appeal for suspension of the renewal of the temporary traffic orders issued by the city in this area. The hearing is scheduled for this Thursday.

The association of the 4 boulevards returns to the administrative court. After having already challenged the current traffic plan in this sector before the administrative court, its leaders have decided to request the suspension of the renewal of the temporary traffic orders issued by the city. An emergency summary hearing is scheduled for this Thursday early afternoon in the jurisdiction of rue Pitot.

New arguments

An equivalent approach had already been taken in April 2023 by the collective. Its summary appeal had been rejected by the administrative court. For the association, however, this new hearing will be an opportunity to present new arguments against the current traffic plan that has made the boulevards concerned a major axis for automobile transit traffic between the west and the south of the city.

At the beginning of August, members of the association denounced the passage of a new bus line, the shuttle, through Boulevard Berthelot. According to their census, 180 additional buses are using this route “which now makes a daily total of approximately 430 Tam buses” they deplore.
