The long-winged aircraft in the world developed by Stratolaunch Systems Corporation. Since the beginning of the work until the first run has been eight years. It is assumed that Stratolaunch will be used to launch objects weighing up to 500,000 pounds (227 tonnes) into orbit.
Stratolaunch first flight took place on 13 April 2019. The plane flew over the Mojave desert on the South-Western United States, developing a maximum speed of 304,16 kilometers per hour and rising to a height of 5.18 km. In the course of testing the team of engineers, in particular, checking the ability of the aircraft to maneuvering and changes in speed limits. The test was deemed successful.
