Iran has sentenced American
In Iran a court sentenced a 46-year veteran of the naval forces of the USA Michael white to 12 years in prison. This was reported by the American lawyer mark Zaid, says the Chronicle.info with reference for Today.
According to the lawyer, white received two years in prison for insulting the Supreme leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and ten more for posting photos of a personal nature, transfers Deutsche Welle.
The lawyer also added that he is “very concerned about the health” of his client because of his medical records, despite the fact that white is forbidden to communicate directly with relatives.
I should add that Michael white was arrested in July 2018 in the city of Mashhad in northeast of Iran: he arrived in the country to see a girl he met on the Internet.
Note that now in the prisons of Iran are still three US citizens, who are serving sentences for espionage and incitement to rebellion. The whereabouts of another American missing in Iran in 2007, remains unknown.
