MONTREAL – The beach John Golden of the Jean-Drapeau park will finally open on Saturday, July 11, with a few weeks delay due to the pandemic of COVID-19.
In addition to being able to grill and spend time with family or friends – following the distancing physics, the followers of the place will be able to rent canoes, kayaks and pedal boats, or even having fun in inflatable structures (as of 15 July).
Health crisis forces, the capacity of the beach John Golden has been reduced to 866 people and visitors must book a time slot in the morning (10 h to 13 h 30 or 10: 30 to 13: 30 p.m.) or the afternoon (14 h 30 to 17 h 30 or 15 h to 18 h) on the gate of the parc Jean-Drapeau. One hour will be used to disinfect the equipment between the morning and afternoon.
The locker rooms and the loan of equipment will not be possible, so visitors will need to be already dressed in their swimsuit and have their own life jacket, as required.
Stations for disinfection of the hands have been deployed on the site, which is expected to close its doors on 7 September after a summer well earned.
