The boat of a kayaker missing since Monday has been found in the lake Champlain Tuesday.
The kayak was found, alone, on the u.s. side at around 1 am in the morning, by the helicopter of the Sûreté du Québec.
According to the police, the octogenarian had to go to Saint-Armand in Venise-en-Quebec, crossing the Missisquoi bay before its disappearance be reported Monday around 20: 15.
The man disappeared is considered to be in shape and experienced, despite his age.
The helicopter is expected to return Tuesday morning to try to locate the kayaker.
The research, which lasted throughout the night, are carried out by the SQ, assisted by the US Border Patrol, the Vermont State police, and certain municipalities.
