After the success of season 1 and season 2 (which PRBK made a 100% spoilers recap) on Netflix, fans of The Bridgerton Chronicle are eagerly awaiting season 3! But while waiting for the rest of the episodes to arrive, which is not for now, an actress revealed that she had been hospitalized for her mental health.
Ruby Barker, who plays Marina Thompson, indeed posted a video on her Instagram account this Thursday, May 26, 2022. She reveals to her subscribers to have been “really in bad shape for a very long time”, to have been diagnosed (without specifying her diagnosis for now) and receiving treatment since being hospitalized.
“I just want to be honest with everyone, I've had a hard time” she added, “So I'm in the hospital right now, I'm going to be out of the hospital soon and hopefully I can get on with my life and I'm going to take a little break from myself”. The one you can see in The Bridgerton Chronicle will therefore take a break before resuming filming.

“And I want to encourage others, if you're having a hard time, do yourself a favor. Take a break, stop being so hard on yourself. People always told me not to be so hard on myself, and I never really, really knew what that meant,” she clarified.

In the caption of her video posted on Instagram, she also writes: “Mental Health Week is every week for me. I said what was on my heart. I feel like I wasn't being entirely honest, so this is for those who follow me. It's time to be transparent. I've been fighting since Bridgerton, this is the truth. Thank you all for supporting me, your love keeps me on my feet”. And the actress also thanked Shonda Rhimes, the producer of The Bridgerton Chronicle, for having “saved”.
