The Cabaret divers of the Lunel music school will heat up the Georges-Brassens room this Saturday

L’an dernier, comme souvent, l’événement a affiché complet. Ville de Lunel

Les différents ensembles vont exprimer leur talent à partir de 17 h 30 autour d’une grande collation.

Its entire universe within reach of notes: this is what the Lunel music school offers, with its traditional Cabaret divers.
The associative structure, which celebrates its 40 years of existence during this new vintage, has thus created the event, for around ten years, as winter approaches . The 2024 vintage will be uncorked this Saturday, January 13, from 5:30 p.m., at the Georges-Brassens room.

A space dedicated to sharing

The initial idea was to bring together musicians and the public around a snack animated by the students' scores. A space dedicated to sharing sounds and tastes.
If the concept remains, it was necessary to push the walls over time as the animation quickly met with legitimate success. First in the Folquet room then in the Rotonde room at the Espace Castel, the Cabaret divers has been taking place, for three editions including this one, in Brassens.

Territorial influence in sight

On the right path and voice, one would be tempted to write. Launched several years ago, the reflection of an influence of the city's music school on the scale of the territory. With 240 students and 12 teachers, the associative structure could thus spread to the new community agglomeration.
"Discussions and exchanges with mayors, elected officials and those responsible for culture in the different municipalities are calmly engaged, relates Vincent Galas, the director of the music school. A strong presence in the territory would allow, initially, the decentralization of events and, secondly, certain courses."
Perhaps a nice birthday gift to mark the 40th anniversary this year of the structure. We note it…

An eclectic repertoire

With an eclectic and varied repertoire, the concert showcases all the aesthetics of the music school. A hundred musicians, divided into several groups within the municipal hall and taking turns playing notes, will represent all the aesthetics of music: jazz, classical, popular, choral and instrumental ensembles…

"All levels will express themselves equally. From beginner to advanced and from 10 to 80 years old! , specifies Vincent Galas, director of the Lunel music school since 2010, alongside president Brigitte Croze, who arrived ten years previously . The choice of pieces is intended to be theme-free, continues the outstanding saxophonist, to go beyond the classics." A touch of& rsquo;originality at a sustained tempo and a good cadence.

Everyone brings a snack to share

The various interventions, lasting approximately 5 minutes each, will take place on the Brassens stage before “strolling” in the heart of the public. Seated around round tables placed on the floor of the room, his only obligation, for this free event, is to bring a snack to share.
Enough to satisfy the majority of the senses in this dynamic which will end after two hours.
