Repositionnée au début du calendrier, l’épreuve lance la saison de la discipline, ce week-end dans la sous-préfecture Héraultaise.

Used to come and go in Lodève, the hill climb takes place on Sunday March 17 this year. For its return after a year of absence, the event counting for the French Mountain Championships 2nd Division and VHC (historic competition vehicles) has changed date and extended its route.

The month of October is over and the season ends. It is now in first position on the discipline's calendar with its 4.4 km course on the D35 in the Baraque de Bral pass, between Lodève and Lunas.

"We gave up on the organization last year to better bounce back and change the date. Which brings us more registrants and a very competitive sporting field" explains Jean-Marie Almeras, the president of ASA Montpellier Méditerranée who is’ rsquo;relies on the premises of the La Trescoule auto stable for the organization, with the City supporting it.

"It’is an event to which the Lodévois are historically attached, it is close to our hearts, continues Ali Benameur the deputy in charge of sports. Beyond the sporting spectacle, nearly 600 people will spend their weekend with us, between the drivers, the entourage and the organizers." Not counting the spectators who will be able to see the hundred cars registered on Saturday in the park, at the foot of Saint-Fulcran Cathedral.

"We have a course and infrastructure worthy of the greatest events with the park, the rooms, the parking lot of the Campestre institute located next door of departure." adds Jean-Marie Almeras. "We will ensure the logistics, the refreshment bar part on the alleys of the Resistance" specify for their part Stéphane Lacoste and Lucien Orssaud for La Trescoule, which brings its expertise to this weekend dedicated to motorsport.

On this occasion, the Lodève Museum is offering reduced entry to all holders of a race program, Saturday March 16 and Sunday March 17. I subscribe to read more
