The mother finds herself unemployed just because she swallowed a piece of bread left on a table in a meeting room of a law firm. 

She was fired overnight in December during the Christmas holidays for eating the remains of a tuna sandwich that was destined for the trash. The story is starting to cause controversy in England. 

The housekeeper, Gabriela Rodriguez, a 39-year-old single mother of Ecuadorian origin, was fired for eating leftovers from a meal left on a dining table. #39;a meeting room of a law firm in London.

She had been working for the company Total Clean for two years when the lawyers complained to her employer about the incident. Neither one nor two, she was fired for serious misconduct, as reported by the British media RollOnFriday. 

A union takes up the matter

Faced with this blatant injustice, the United Voices of the World union decided to take up the matter to help the now unemployed cleaning lady who claims that the status of worker foreigner of the mother played a role in the dismissal decision.

Law firm targeted by critics

Faced with the media outpouring caused by this affair, the London law firm, Devonshires Solicitors, wanted to explain that it was not opposed to the return of the cleaning lady to the premises."

But none of the lawyers took the woman's side at the time of her dismissal. 

Two legal proceedings initiated

The union will initiate two legal proceedings. The cleaning lady will sue the cleaning company for unfair dismissal and racial discrimination. As for the law firm, it is being sued for "racial discrimination".
