OTTAWA | An agreement in principle has occurred to extend the closure of the canada-u.s. border to travel non-essential until 21 August.
This was confirmed by a source to TVA News, Tuesday morning, saying that an official announcement will come in the next few days.
The border with our neighbours to the south has been closed since march. The decree was initially planned for 30 days, but has been extended several times.
