  Canada's National Men's Soccer Team Head Coach, John Herdman, is reportedly among the favorites for the head coaching job with Toronto FC.

  According to the TSN network, Herdman would have been interviewed with the formation of the Queen City.

  Also, Bobby Smyrniotis who is the current driver for Hamilton's Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League would also be part of this process.

  According to the same source, the president of Toronto FC, Bill Manning, would have set “no deadline” in order to find his right-hand man.

  John Herdman is at the helm of the Canadian men's national team since 2018. The native of the United Kingdom allowed the maple leaf to participate, last year, in his first World Cup since 1986.

  The man of 48 years was the head coach of the Canadian women's national team from 2011 to 2018.

  Terry Dunfield is currently the head coach of this team on an interim basis since the dismissal of Bob Bradley, in the end of June, due to the team's poor performance. Toronto is second to last in the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer (MLS) with a record of 3-11-10.
