Illumi – Wonderland of lights will be transformed to be able to reopen its doors in the fall. Pandemic and social distancing force, it is in a car, rather than walk, as the public will cross the route laval.
“The social distancing would have been too difficult to maintain, especially with the presence of children. So we had to reconfigure everything, “says Normand Latourelle, the creator of” Illumi.
This “reconfiguration” includes, in particular, the expansion of the site, which will almost triple its original size. It will now include 18 tables bright, distinct, spread out over three kilometres. Lookouts will also be constructed at strategic locations to allow motorists to linger all the more in the universe of their choice.
But who says social distancing said also more limited access to the site. To satisfy visitors and to ensure a return on experience, the course Illumi will be so this time open longer hours, October to January.
“Last year, at certain times, we welcomed 3000 to 4000 people per hour. This year, our maximum will be set around 1000 people per hour, ” says Normand Latourelle.
The itinerary may be modified during the season to switch moods halloweenesques in October up to those, more festive, with the approach of Christmas.
