The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly hired former Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn as their defensive coordinator.
This is what the NFL Network reported on Monday.
The 50-year-old is said to have met the Texas club’s staff virtually this weekend and traveled to Dallas for an in-person interview on Monday.
Quinn was fired by the Falcons in October, after the club started their 2020 campaign with a 0-5 record. The coach has been at the helm of the team since the 2015 season. He maintained a 43-42 record.
Prior to this job, Quinn was the Seattle Seahawks’ Defensive Coordinator in 2013 and 2014. He has also served in several roles with the San Francisco 49ers (2001-2004), Miami Dolphins (2005-2006) and the New York Jets (2007-2008).
In his career, he has reached the Super Bowl three times, including twice with the Seahawks and once with the Falcons. He got his hands on the Vince-Lombardi Trophy on one occasion.
