The Coyotes turn their saga to ridicule

Coyotes make fun of their saga

BET À DAY

The Arizona Coyotes saga continues to be talked about and now the organization has added fuel to the fire on the social network Twitter on Friday.

The formation of the Arizona had pledged to reveal plans for its new arena if it hit 20,000 tweet likes before the end of the day.

In just over an hour, the Coyotes had achieved their goal…but ultimately, it was just a joke made by the organization. The plans for this so-called future arena consisted of a link to a web page with a photo of a “Yotes” game against the Detroit Red Wings in the playoffs, when they once played at the Gila River Arena in Glendale.

The future of the American desert team looks increasingly uncertain following the refusal by referendum of the residents of Tempe regarding the development of a new neighborhood that was to include an arena for the Coyotes.

The bill for this megaproject was estimated at $2.8 billion.

The Coyotes announced Thursday that they would play for a second consecutive season at Mullett Arena, which contains 4,600 seats. The amphitheater is also occupied by the Arizona State University Sun Devils hockey team.
