Ce mardi 4 juin au soir, les Biterrois se sont massés devant le théâtre municipal pour célébrer les joueurs de l’ASBH, à l’issue d’une saison exceptionnelle qui a pris fin vendredi dernier à Vannes.

They were celebrated as rugby heroes! This Tuesday evening, the ASBH players appeared on the balconies of the municipal theater, facing a cheering crowd. Despite the defeat against Vannes, last Friday evening, in the semi-final of the Pro D2 championship, the Biterrois returning to the city of Riquet were given a standing ovation by a wild people and supporters. As if now they could dream again…

"These attempts refused in the semi-final…", reminded President Jean-Michel Vidal on the microphone. Not easy to digest. "But let's not dwell on this disappointment. We had a superb season. And we must remember that 4 years ago, the club, within a few hours, found itself in the Federal…"

"We lost to learn to win"

Time has passed since then. And this season, this journey, are unanimously praised. Just like the commitment of coach Pierre Caillet: "Our adventure is beautiful. For 3 years, all this has been building. This season is magnificent, but our entire history is. We have this club in our hearts. Our work, our investment, is for this club to move forward. We learned, we lost to learn to win", he told the crowd. "We just want to say thank you to Pierre Caillet, to the staff, to the supporters", Mayor Robert spoke in turn Menard. "This is only the beginning of a kind of resurrection. All dreams are allowed. We are going to take this club even higher." It was enough to ignite the supporters. Yes, perhaps the meeting with the players that was coming…hellip; A grand end to the season. Through a great reunion between a club and its fans.
