The elected representatives of the municipal majority of Bouzigues give another reading of the opinion of the Regional Chamber of Accounts

Pour les élus de la majorité de Bouzigues, qui avaient rejeté le projet de budget du maire, l’avis de la Chambre régionale des comptes confirme leur analyse.

Seized by the prefect of Hérault following the failure to adopt the 2024 main budget and the annexed budget within the legal deadlines, the Regional Chamber of Accounts (CRC) therefore published its budgetary control opinion of the municipality of Bouzigues. On the basis of this opinion, she now proposes to the prefect to settle the 2024 budget.

In our edition of Saturday May 26, Cédric Raja, the mayor of Bouzigues, was pleased with its content. The elected representatives of the majority of Bouzigues (10 out of 16) give another reading. They estimate that "the analysis of the CRC confirms that of the majority elected officials who had rejected the mayor's draft budget".

Budget lines that do not reflect reality

They explain:"The Chamber has just issued an opinion which rigorously corrects the budget proposed by the mayor and rejected twice by the majority of the municipal council. At the end of their analysis, the auditors considered that the draft budget was not in balance and that several dozen budget lines had to be modified because they were erroneous and did not reflect budgetary reality. ;quot;

Among the corrections, the elected representatives of the majority thus point out "the reduction of nearly 120,000 euros in the personnel expenses item, totally in line with the  ;rsquo;analysis presented by the majority elected officials who had refused to vote on the budget due to the dizzying inflation of personnel expenses".

Investments in question

They also address the issue of the port. "The opinion estimates that the realistic and sincere payroll actually amounts to 194,500 & ;euro; and not 99,000 € as the initial budget proposal indicated. Here too the mayor's budget proposal was incorrect."

The elected representatives of the majority finally consider that the CRC has pointed out "the weakness of the municipality's investments", confirming thus their analysis "deploring that none of the equipment projects announced has been carried out in more than four years of mandate".
