Eighteen students from the AGOrA class at the Sainte-Marie vocational high school in Bagnols are organizing a charity gala for the benefit of the "Enfants du Desert" Thursday March 28 at La Moba.

For several months, the 18 final year students in the AGOrA class (Assistance in the management of organizations and their activities) at the Sainte-Marie high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze have been working on the organization of the organization. #39;a charity gala which will take place on Thursday March 28, from 6 p.m., at La Moba. This event is part of the "masterpiece", a mandatory project to be completed for students taking a professional baccalaureate. &quot ;This allows them to implement the skills acquired during their high school years. All profits will be donated to the "Enfant du Desert" association. "It's an association that operates in the deserts in Argentina and Morocco. We discovered it thanks to two YouTubers, explains Mario Rizzo, appointed project manager of the class. It builds schools, libraries, equipment in hospitals, wells to more easily access water… The founders were immediately willing to support us in the project."

"A unique project"

In the year, 56 hours are planned to work on the "masterpiece""It's a great experience for us to carry out such a project at 17 years old, comments Mario Rizzo. I'm learning to manage a team, have responsibilities, send emails, negotiate…I'm becoming more and more comfortable on the phone." "If we don't put students into action, into concrete projects, it's more difficult to get them to work, continues the' teacher. They are in human management, communication and autonomy. These are things that will serve them in the future. Then it's a unique project, there has never been a charity gala organized by students in Bagnols."

Pictures, furniture and mirrors at auction

The town hall made the city's light panels and its social networks available for the communication part. La Moba has agreed to be a partner by providing its room free of charge. The students hope to bring together "between 200 and 250" people. Around twenty lots will be auctioned by a bailiff Nimes. There will mainly be paintings, furniture and mirrors. To find the objects, the students canvassed local second-hand dealers and traders. The Enfants du Desert association also sent them handcrafted creations, made in Morocco.

The evening program

The public is welcomed from 6 p.m. At 7:15 p.m., the high school students will present the "Children of the Desert" association. The auction will begin at 7:45 p.m. Then, two musicians from the Bagnols music school will liven up the evening with a concert. Entrance 10€, buffet offered by the students. Reservations are already open online, on the La Moba website. It will be possible to pay entry directly on site.
