At the Brunel stadium, the final pitted Gallia's A team against La Gardia this Sunday, June 9.

It was on the wire, on penalties, that the U 12 A team of the Gallia club of Lunel lost this Sunday afternoon in Brunel, at the end of an unexpected final, which pitted him against the Gardia football club from Var. Reaching the score in the last minute of play (1-1), the young Lunelois lost to La Garde 4 shots on goal to 5. The Varois won the tournament trophy, the Pescalunes climbed onto the second step of the podium and the ;rsquo;Estac de Troyes which ranks 3rd.

48 teams including several pro clubs

But the Pescalunes have nothing to be ashamed of their journey. The tournament was indeed particularly tough since among the 48 teams present, several professional clubs of international level had sent their U12s: this is the case of the Turks of Istanbul Basaksehir, the Bulgarians of CSK Sofia, the Portuguese of Porto , the Moroccans of the Mohamed VI Academy… And in France, also came the U12s from As Cannes, Grenoble, Stade Malherbe de Caen or Nîmes Olympique…

Party atmosphere in the stand

at the end of three days of meetings, on the grounds of Brunel and simultaneously on those of Baillargues, the first international tournament of the Gallia club of Lunel ended in a warm and friendly atmosphere, even if the weather was rather stormy.
