The BTS chemistry students from the private Sainte-Marie high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze were winners of the “Forindustrie 2023” prize in the “Higher Education” category. The competition took place when they were in their first year. As a reward, the president of the Gard Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Eric Giraudier, came on Thursday, September 26 to present them with prizes. The Bagnolais high school is one of the 66 schools in Gard that took part in the competition.
"We want to introduce young people to the reality of business careers through this type of exercise, explains Eric Giraudier. And at the same time avoid the orientation problems to which they could have been exposed."
Training students in industrial professions
The "Forindustrie" prize is also valuable for companies. Through this competition, participants are in fact trained in industrial professions. "The CCI is the second trainer in the Gard, says the president of the CCI. Towards companies, we must offer them qualified young people."
The registration campaign for the "Forindustrie 2024" prize has begun. The teaching team of the BTS chemistry at Sainte-Marie high school should repeat the experience with its first years.
