The great success of the modern art auction at Ivoire Nîmes

An auction took place on Thursday August 1st with some nice surprises in store for Ivoire Nîmes.

Ivoire Nîmes is delighted with the success of the modern art auction of a collection of fifteen modern paintings gathered over around thirty years by a couple from Gardois . It totaled 320,000 euros; (24% buyers fee included).

The 1905 oil on canvas by Emile Othon Friesz, estimated between 50,000 and 80,000 euros, obtained 151 ;280 €. The work of Albert Marquet (Bateaux à Audierne in 1928) tripled its estimate to reach 96,720 euros. A painting by Georges Braque was sold for 53,220 euros. Among the collection, a Louis XIV period chest of drawers was sold for 6,448,euro.
