“The health and lives of the women of this country are now in danger”

United States President Joe Biden on Friday said the Supreme Court's decision to strike down the right to an abortion was a “tragic mistake” and the result of “extremist ideology.” 

“The health and lives of the women of this country are now at risk,” the Democrat hammered in a solemn address in the wake of the historic judgment, lamenting a “sad day” for America, which is an “exception” in the world.

He called for continuing the fight in a “peaceful” way and for defending the right to abortion “at the ballot box” and all the other “personal freedoms”, with the approach of the mid-term legislative elections which promise to be difficult for his Democratic camp.
