The last chance dinner ? Why Kylian Mbappé is invited this Tuesday evening to the Elysée

Footballer Kylian Mbappé is invited to dinner this Tuesday by Emmanuel Macron. He will go to the Elysée, which he knows for having come on several occasions, notably during the celebrations of the performances of the French team. In February 2018, he had also been invited for a more political meeting, during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Liberia. Georges Weah had been one of PSG's star attackers a few years earlier. 

At the heart of the negotiations between Israel and Hamas

This Tuesday, February 27, the invitation also takes on a diplomatic framework. Emmanuel Macron receives the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, on an official visit to France for two days. During the discussions, negotiations between Israel and Hamas around the release of hostages and a possible ceasefire will be discussed, since Qatar is at the center of the discussions.

One last offer ?

But Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani is also… the owner of PSG. And, with Kylian Mbappé, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of the Parisian club, was also invited. Which means that the emir could come with a final proposal to try to retain the center forward in Paris, even if the latter has already indicated his intention to leave the club.
