A motorcyclist of 35 years has received fines totalling $ 3301 $ in the night from Saturday to Sunday, after having been intercepted by the police of the Sûreté du Québec at the end of a short chase, in Saint-Faustin-Lac-Carré in the Laurentians.
Originally, the police wanted to intercept the motorcyclist for a “verification code” road safety on route 117.
The man did not stop and a short police chase is committed. The motorcyclist had finally decided to stop by itself a few kilometres away.
The native of Charlemagne, has received statements of offence for driving at 190 km/h in a zone of 90 km/h; for driving a motor vehicle without being the holder of the appropriate class; for having led so that it was the subject of a sanction and have put into circulation a vehicle while the owner had given up.
His driving licence was suspended for a period of 30 days and the bike was seized for a period of 90 days. Not less than 18 demerit points have also been added to their driving record.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist may also face charges of criminal flight, dangerous driving and obstructing police officers.
