The Lodévois Ifad APP highlights collective workshops for learners

The animation team is proud of the artistic achievements of the learners.

The Ifad APP des Piedmonts (continuing education center) was celebrating Tuesday June 25 in its premises on Avenue Denfert in Lodève. The opportunity to discover restitution of the collective artistic workshops of the 2023/2024 learners around choral singing Revirada led by the choir director Viviane Bourquin and The Fanzine Factory animated by Tom Miquel Garcia and Jérémie Gallegos.

" These workshops are open to groups of around fifteen participants from varied backgrounds. They support the learning of the French language in mixed groups and are above all a source of pleasure, indicates Marie-Laure Genton, the manager of the place for thirty-nine years. Trainer in training (reading, writing, etc.) and teacher, she is very appreciated by "students" and is also part of the choir.

Tom Miquel Garcia transmits in his workshops his choice to refuse editorial constraints. He does "fanzinat" : "The word fanzine comes from fan and magazine. It is the highlighting of the resourcefulness and originality of the authors by putting pleasure before financial profitability." Tom works with Jérémie Gallégos, French Foreign Language trainer) literacy at Ifad. He created the fanzines with the learners and the host of the Third place artistic and cultural Anaïs Leboeuf who explains. “It's a space where we allow ourselves many things that have to do with the sensitive side of each person. We become civilized together. We rely on each other. We are on an equal footing."

Viviane Bourquin, choir director, participated in the creation of a choir composed of learners, trainers and people from outside called Revirada, which in Occitan means to be reborn from something, to start again together.

Here, everyone comes with pleasure, like Suzanne who wanted to learn to read: "In my country, I never went to school." She participated in all the workshops with Tom. But her favorite is Jérémie. “He's my master”, she said admiringly. Josée presented her creation, a painting created by several people, with flowers and plants whose names she had learned. “The goal is for people to feel good, to have fun. And I think it works”, summarizes Anaïs with a smile.
