The matches in Regional 2 where the crossover continues between Castelnau-Le Crès and Nîmes Chemin Bas

Le chassé-croisé se poursuit en haut de la poule A. Victorieux face à Castelnau la semaine passée, détrônant du même coup leur adversaire, les Nîmois de Chemin Bas sont tombés ce dimanche à Pignan, quand les Castelcressois s’imposaient devant le 3e, Vauvert.

After two consecutive defeats, Castelnau-Le Crès returned to victory against a direct competitor and took advantage of the defeat of Nîmes Chemin Bas to regain the lead in the championship.
The first half was quality between two well-established teams. The locals seemed to be more enterprising and were rewarded with a penalty following a foul on Vivien. But Mathieu Irigoyemborde found Dumalin's crossbar (20th). At the break everything had to be done.
As soon as they returned from the locker room, the Gardois moved up a gear. Tihar, from a free kick, tested Chardon (47th) before Bensaid, who had gone to the edge of offside, saw his lob fall… on the crossbar (49th). Jostled, the Castelcressois did not really react. A goal in the last minute

Far from being undeserved for Vauvert. This goal at least had the merit of waking up the locals. And on an opening from Kabamba Tshimpampa, Giannitrapani escaped on the left, hooked his defender and equalized with a shot at the near post (63rd). Castelnau-Le Crès once again relied on its youth. Dramé and Kalczynski (17 years old) brought all their desire to their team on the offensive level (75th, 78th) while Mathieu Irigoyemborde forced Dumalin into a nice tap under his bar (69th). The match got completely out of control, Dramé presented himself against Dumalin but the visiting goalkeeper won (87th). It was then Planchon’s turn to find the post (89th). Vauvert thought he had done the hard part but a ball poorly negotiated by the defense returned to the feet of Mathieu Irigoyemborde whose left half-volley hit the mark (91st). The match had just changed definitively.

Pignan strings together three victories in a row against Chemin Bas

On another pitch, in Pignan, Nîmes Chemin Bas fell after having opened the score in the 18th and the Gardois could even have doubled the lead in a face-to-face between Attoumane and goalkeeper Blondelle (38th). But Pignan, with more bite and speed in the transition game, took the spaces and put the Nîmes defense in great difficulty as soon as they returned from the locker room.
Ferrand had the ball stolen at the last minute at 6 meters (54th) but Borredon, unmarked by Soulas on the following action, curled his shot perfectly to equalize (57th). Three minutes later, Mombo Mombo got ahead of the Nîmes full-back to beat Borredon, whose cross at the second post found Ferrand, who scored with a sliding tackle (2-1).

Lattes continues its rise

In Uchaud, Lattes enforced the hierarchy by winning, 2-0. A victory which pushes the Gardois a little further.  The Héraultais built their success in the second period, thanks to a lob from Pruvost on a hesitation in the   exit of the Gard goalkeeper, who came  to die in the back of the net (55th, 0- 1). The attacker doubled the lead, launching well in the 80th minute.

A story of penalties at AS Méditerranée

From the start of the match, the Alésiens were more precise and forced the ASM players to run behind the ball. After a mistake and a hand from Keita, the referee awards a penalty to the visitors (10th). An error without consequence, the shot is nicely repelled by Ouhami. In difficulty, ASM returns to the locker room with a score of 0-0.
In the second half the locals showed themselves to be more incisive, allowing them to hold the ball more, they were rewarded for it. Following a corner, Keita made up for his blunder of the first period by sending the ball in the back of the opposing net (1-0, 54th). A new handball in the ASM area forces the referee to once again designate the penalty spot. Transformed by Jdaini with a shot into the top corner (1-1, 70th).

On the other grounds, Béziers II snatched a draw, 1-1, against Girou, in stoppage time. when in the reserves match, between Agde and Fabrègues, also a poorly classified match, the RCO Agde II quickly opened the scoring with Tokoula Sinza (21st), before Fabrègues did not found itself reduced to ten after half an hour of play. Fabrègues was dead last in Pool A when Agde moved up to 8th place, three points behind the soft stomach. The day before, Saturday February 3, Petit-Bard took ;#39;is revived by beating Rousson, 2-0.
