There were a lot of people attending the City meal organized by the CCAS on Wednesday February 14 and Thursday February 15. The reception location was unique since the guests had met at the Palais des sports, a temporary solution pending the delivery of the new party hall.
Each day brought together nearly 600 people or 1,200 guests over the two days, a job well carried out by the Lez caterer. Moreover, at the end of the meal, cooks, wait staff and waiters were honored and applauded for a long time. The meal also lived up to expectations.
It was Paul Selmer’s orchestra which livened up the day – during the meal and a large part of the afternoon – with its singers and dancers. New for this 2024 edition: the guests could dance and some did not leave their place enjoying this beautiful atmosphere.
At the opening of the day, Mayor Gilles D 'Ettore, accompanied by part of his municipal council, presented a bouquet of flowers to deans Claude Soler (90 years old) and Liliane Franchette (95 years old) as well as to deans Bernard Audemard (94 years old) and André Crislas (90 years old). years). "It's a very beautiful day but it's also a moment of sharing where everyone gets together, some people only meet here and we had to organize these two days. It is also a day full of conviviality where we have a good time over good food and listening to music", explained the city's chief magistrate.
