Du 3 septembre au 3 octobre, la police nationale va renforcer ses actions de recrutement en Aveyron et en Lozère.
Faced with an unprecedented crisis of vocations, the national police force is recruiting. Particularly in Aveyron and Lozère where the needs are pressing. On the Millau market on Friday morning, the Occitanie recruitment unit explains. “We are here to present our professions, around a hundred, accessible with or without a diploma. Faced with the recurring shortage of assistant police officers in Aveyron and Lozère, we have also just opened an exceptional recruitment session from September 3 to October 3."
The objective is to attract and, this is a new development, to assign locally those who would like to join the institution. “Recruitment is open to young people aged 18 to 30, with or without a diploma, who after selection (psychological tests, photo language test, a sports test and an oral exam) will join the police academy for four months, paid monthly at a rate of 1,488 euros, before being assigned to Millau, Rodez or Decazeville for two 3-year fixed-term contracts", explains the recruitment unit.
A "springboard", which after a year of practice, also offers the possibility of moving on the internal police officer competition. Even without a baccalaureate. “The police officer competition then gives access to a permanent contract, to the 100 police professions – intelligence, investigation, public security, motorcyclists, CRS… – in which one can evolve throughout one's career."
In its report on the budgetary execution of the « Securities » mission for the year 2022, the Court of Auditors pointed out the difficulties in recruiting police officers and gendarmes even though the number of departures reached record levels.
According to this report, “the record number of departures within the police and gendarmerie was broken in 2021 [respectively 10,840 departures (+33% in four years) and 15,078 departures (+25%)], then exceeded again in 2022."
