The new deputy police director in Gard is a former Usam player

The divisional commissioner, Fabien Inès, is from Nîmes. He is the new deputy director of the interdepartmental police directorate in Gard.

The divisional commissioner, Fabien Inès, was officially installed this Monday in his position as deputy director of the interdepartmental police directorate of Gard.
Fabien Inès was, for 10 years, the criminal boss at PJ in Montpellier. He is therefore well versed in the fight against crime and organized delinquency and worked on the last three homicides which devastated the neighborhoods of Nîmes.
His mission will be to support the interdepartmental director, Jean-Philippe Nahon. Fabien Inès succeeds Commissioner Anne Valla who has joined Corsica.

Usam goalkeeper

The new deputy director is far from being unknown to the Nîmes. Born in Nîmes, the future commissioner studied at d’Alzon then in Sports studies (handball) at Lycée Daudet. Fabien Inès was the goalkeeper of Usam between 1997 and 2004. Alongside Jérôme Chauvet and Christophe Mazel and Benoît Chevalier his « best friend » , he was able to develop « a sense of the collective ». He also played in Spain. After Science-Po in Aix, Fabien Inès passed the curator competition.
The police officer joined the Departmental Security in Essonne then Mexico, as internal security attaché at the French embassy in Mexico.

Medals and tribute

The ceremony which took place this Monday at the police station was chaired by the prefect of Gard, Jérôme Bonet and the interdepartmental director of the Gard police. Gard police officers were rewarded for « act of courage. »
The prefect also paid tribute to the police officers who died for France or were injured during their missions.
Jérôme Bonet also recalled that police forces will join the sites of the Olympic Games. Other top athletes – professional police officers – should also participate in the J.O.
