The new Sand'Alès boutique will bring new life to the Saint-Vincent passage, in the city center of Alès

“L’idée, c’est que ça vive. Que ça bouge !”, dit Alexandra Lagulhon. MIDI LIBRE – ALEXIS BETHUNE

The new store will reopen a space that has been closed since 2008. Alexandra Lagulhon has no shortage of ideas for developing the site and making it lively. Let it move !"

"Compared to “Sand’Alès1”, we gain space and brightness!"< /em> Alexandra Lagulhon is still in the middle of construction. And that’s how it has been since it closed its historic boutique on rue Albert-Ier on January 31, moving it to rue Saint-Vincent. The goal is to open its new shoe store, which will keep the same name, of course, on March 1st. "It might be March 5th, because we're “charrette”", she smiles. "We couldn't imagine the magnitude of everything we were going to do…"  In terms of work to be carried out, articles, elements, furniture and other objects accumulated over 70 years and kept in old storage places, which must now be taken out.

To connect rue Saint-Vincent to rue Taisson, at the college

But the new site, with a sales area of nearly 150 m2, will also allow Alesians to reconnect with habits lost for years. Indeed, as soon as her professional activity resumes, the manager wishes to reopen the Saint-Vincent passage which, from her shop, allows you to reach rue Taisson, at the level of the eponymous college. A space closed to the public since 2008!

The passage will be open from Tuesday morning to Saturday evening

The passage is currently undergoing a major cleaning so that everyone can use it, during the day, from Tuesday morning to Saturday evening. Where there were once shops or a beauty institute, Alexandra Lagulhon creates her reserves… and does not lack imagination to arrange the place.

Put more light, "so that it bombs!"

On the upper part, overlooking rue Taisson, "the idea is to check with educational establishments, the Taisson college or others, if they want to appropriate the walls to create something nice", she said. On the other hand, the merchant reserves the decoration of the lower part. She then talks about an Instagrammable wall, where it will be possible to take photos, mirrors, even distorting mirrors. Everything remains to be defined. "The idea is that it lives. Let it move!" She then looks at the ceiling: "We're going to put back lots of lights so that the& rsquo;we see there. So that it bombs!"

Offer workshops in Passage Saint-Vincent

However, Alexandra Lagulhon will obviously not limit herself to a simple arrangement. It aims, in fact, to organize workshops in this resurrected Saint-Vincent passage. “Second foot” sales, for example.
